While scrolling your Facebook News Feed lately you may have noticed a new type of Sponsored Post. The social network has released their Multi-Product Ads which allows businesses to highlight up to five products within a single ad unit, on desktop or mobile device. Each product showcased will have its own image, description, and click target.
The new Multi-Product Ads can be accessed through the ever changing Power Editor. When choosing a new ad you are now seeing two options: You can have a single image with one link or you can have multiple images and unique links for each image.
We advertise for retailers and can see this being a perfect tool for retargeting visitors to your site. Picture this: A shopper browses your website without making a purchase. Later you re-target that shopper on Facebook with a Custom Audience from your website. With the Multi-Product Ad unit you choose up to five products all with their own unique links.
