Fileship.io is a new service that holds your completed design files hostage until your client pays the bill. It’s not always necessary, but there are clients that you know are just a little bit shady.
All you do is upload a file, enter your PayPal email address and set a price. You receive a link that you send to your client and when the client pays they automatically get the files delivered straight to them. It’s about as simple as it could possibly be, and also a great way to save yourself a lot of hassle trying to get paid.
Fileship.io currently supports US dollars, Euros and British Pounds and PayPal.
I’ve tested out the service a few times today and haven’t had a lot of luck with it, but I’m sure there are just teething problems. We will update this post once we are able to get the service to work properly.
