There are tons of different ways to make a great website navigation menu. The standard drop down menu is still super functional on a desktop computer, giving users easy access to anywhere they want to go.
But when you get to mobile devices this type of menu really falls apart. That’s where other options, like the hamburger menu really start to shine. This interface element isn’t universally understood yet (just ask your mom if she knows what it is), but it’s use is growing and users are definitely beginning to understand what the little stack of 3 lines is supposed to do.
